Lineup and Details for The Courvoisier Institute of Grand Cocktails on Sat 14th July 2012
On 13 and 14 July 2012, Courvoisier will take you on a tour through a once derelict institute at The Heritage Rooms in Bloomsbury Square London, where you can explore a surreal world of cocktails past and present. Set up by Courvoisier over a hundred years ago for the worlds grandest bartenders to perfect the ultimate cocktails, the Courvoisier Institute of Grand Cocktails was all but forgotten; but, for two nights only, Courvoisier will open the doors for you to explore these three classic cocktails and their creative setting which has been frozen in time with three bartender characters still perfecting their cocktails.
Working with top London bartenders, Courvoisier has brought the story of these characters to life and will bring you into a surreal world of cocktails. Enjoy a refreshing Courvoisier Punch in the buildings produce stores; a series of rooms holding Punch ingredients, as inspired by Annabels bar manager, Mickael Perron; toast 5 Hertford Streets bar manager Amanda Humphrey with a Courvoisier Champagne Cocktail in a grand but derelict Rococo ballroom or take a night cap in a New Orleans apothecary cum science lab where Rules bar manager Chris Lacey will serve a classic Courvoisier Sazerac.
