A night of Spanish classical guitar and piano, with internationally acclaimed stars Xuefei Yang (guitar) and Di Xiao (piano)

Xuefei Yang is considered to be amongst the world's best classical guitarists, with glowing endorsements from the likes of John Williams and Gramophone Magazine.
Fei enjoys an international career and performs regularly throughout UK, Europe, Asia and North America. Her success has led her to be invited to many prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, as well as the Philharmonie Berlin, Musikhalle Hamburg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Vienna, Auditorio Nacional de Espana, Lincoln Center New York and the Herbst Theatre San Francisco. In Asia she has appeared at the National Concert Hall Taipei, Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Center, Esplanade Singapore, Seoul Arts Centre and the Beijing Concert Hall.
Xuefei Yang plays D’Addario guitar strings on a Smallman guitar.

Di Xiao is a prize-winning pianist who has performed all around the world. Between 2008 and 2009 she toured across Europe to many of the worlds most prestigious concert halls: Brussels Bozar, Luxembourg Philharmonie, Wien Konzerthaus, Hamburg Laeiszhalle, Salzburg Mozartium,Stockholm Konserthuset and Birmingham Symphony Hall.
In the UK Di Xiao has performed at a number of prestigious venues and events including Birmingham Symphony Hall, Warwick Arts Centre, New Generation Arts Festival, Buxton Arts Festival, Stratford Music Festival and Leamington Music Festival.
Di Xiao’s concert performances have received much acclaim in the UK. Her debut at Symphony Hall Birmingham in January 2006 was described by the UK Chinese Times as “A stunning concert!” and an early performance of the Schumann Concerto prompted The Birmingham Post to describe her as “a pianist of awesome gifts …”
Di Xiao’s truly inspirational performances stem from an equal mastery of technique, artistry and temperament. She forms a strong bond with audiences everywhere and exudes a special quality and integrity in her music making.
Di Xiao aspires to be an international ambassador for the piano, combining both Chinese and Western repertoire in the programming of her concerts, thereby creating a bridge between two cultures.
Concessions Policy: Concessions are students, under 16s and over 70s. An NUS card for students and an ID (passport, driving licence) will be required as proof of eligibility.
