Learning to play guitar from a childhood friend in Belmont, Massachusetts at the tender age of 12, Annie grew up on a diet of classic rock like the Rolling Stones from that same friends older brother; but certainly wasn’t an instant musician.

She spent time as an activist, travelling around fighting for causes like civil liberties, environmental justice and reproductive rights for many years before finding her way back to songwriting and performing, matured like a fine wine grown rich and textured with life’s experiences.

2008 has seen the promise finally emerge in Annie’s third album “ Belmont”; a big slab of pure Americana/roots songwriting that is both passionate and intimate, tough and tender, that has captured ears and minds worldwide.

Produced by Chris Tarrow (GrooveLily and Goodbye Girl Friday) and Jason Mercer (bassist for Ron Sexsmith) Belmont debuted at number 6 in the Euro Americana Radio Chart and has been in the CD Baby best seller list for months. Talent spotted by BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris and invited to the UK to perform a live session on his show, Annie will also be briefly touring the UK and Holland performing as an acoustic duo with Chris Tarrow.
