SARAH SAYEED presents a SISTER ELEMENTS production BRIX LANE REMIXED on Saturday 31st July 2010
SARAH SAYEED is one of UK’s most experimental and exciting female Hip – Hop artists, who processes quick-fire MC skills and has a soul-inspired singing voice.
SARAH SAYEED first broke thorough after her music was featured on the Homegrown podcast presented by Ras Kwame on BBC 1 Xtra. BBC Radio 1 DJ, Bobby Friction (Future Friction) also described her “as a 360-degree conscious artist”.
SARAH SAYEED has developed her skills as a live performer as well as a studio artist over the last six years, due to touring the UK, Europe and the US and having spent quality time in the studio working with unique producers from London, Manchester, San Francisco and Toronto. SARAH SAYEED continues to develop as an international artist by working on projects such as the 2010 Sydney Hip Hop Theatre Festival in Australia.
SARAH SAYEED is spearheading SISTER ELEMENTS, an independent record label and production company that she set up. On Saturday 31st July 2010, SISTER ELEMENTS will be launching a new innovative night called BRIX LANE REMIXED. On the night, SARAH SAYEED will be performing with her full live band SLO BURN, presenting work from her single EP 'Black IS...' and new collaborations from 2010. The night will also feature two of the UK's finest DJ’s - DJ EXCALIBAH (BBC 1 Xtra, The Blacks) & DJ BADESHI (Other Brother Records, BBC Asian Network, Future Friction) who will be spinning the finest in Hip Hop, Soul, Motown, Funk, Dub, Drum 'n' Bass and Indian Electronica.
Other artists will include:
- SHAMELESS, one of UK’s most exciting Hip Hop artists who will be performing with a full live band
- ANARKALI ELEKTRA, will be playing the best in Indian film songs, Reggae, Dub, Ska and Lovers Rock
- TIM ADAMS, a Canadian musician based in the UK, will be doing an acoustic guitar set
- Ava Bee, will be performing her song Fallen Angel
- Naga MC is a rising London based MC who will also be doing a live set
BRIX LANE REMIXED will be hosted by UNIQUE.
SARAH SAYEED is continuing to build her presence and reputation in the music industry as an artist to watch out for in the future and is currently in the midst of negotiating and signing a worldwide online distribution deal.
