Lineup and details for wonderland on Saturday 20th March 2010

Box:

Pete Tong///

PETE TONG is Britain’s best-loved dance DJ. He doesn’t need an award to prove his popularity and he won’t act cool to keep his credibility. The host of Radio 1’s ground-breaking Essential Selection show for a staggering eight years, he works within the mainstream, but is respected by the underground.

Chuckie///

Chuckie’s leading mixing skills and distinctive productions not only show an indispensable complement to the Dutch dance industry, the international dance-scene has also been giving him a warm welcome. Driven by ambition, enthusiasm and pure passion for music, his characteristic set makes the crowd go wild and his many productions reflect his true visionary in his craft works. Nowadays, Chuckie still continues to surprise the crowd with his mind-blowing style and his story is yet to continue…

Shlomi Aber///

Recognized as one of the main techno pioneers and influential artists of the recent time, Shlomi has the kind of impact usually reserved for inbound meteors, the reason for which is buried in a ground swell of genre-defying appreciation and support. a comment taken from a recent “Radio 1” interview provides a probable insight as to why his productions are hitting such a broad mark, “No matter if it’s hard or soft, it just needs to touch your mind, body and soul at the same time. That's what I call a ‘Good Record’.” This personal approach, married with 12 years production experience that takes influence from jazz, funk, minimal, acid and, in particular the old school Detroit techno movement. Aber has created some of the most recognizable and unique techno of modern times.

Wonderland is back on Saturday 20th March, for the first of its 2010 residencies. After causing roadblock last year, Pete Tong returns armed with another years worth of extraordinary talent from the electronic music scene. Making his ministry of sound debut, DJ Chuckie joins Tong in the Box for a night of heavy electro beats. Currently on the radar for his productions that have stormed the charts over the last few months, the Dutch superstar DJ is joint by Fred Falke and Cosmonauts in the Bar.
