Lineup and details for Jack Hayter + Simon Stanley Ward + Benjamin Shaw + JJ Crash on Friday 10th February 2012

Jack Hayter

Jack Hayter has been a member of Spongefinger, Hefner and Dollboy and plays a unique variety of folk with splashes of electronica and bags of character. According to Tom Robinson of BBC6 Music, he sounds like Tom Waits and mates running amok in a second-hand music shop. New EP Sucky Tart is available now on the excellent Audio Antihero label.

Simon Stanley Ward

Former singer with the now sadly defunct band Black Bart, Simon Stanley Ward is a young country and Americana artist from London. Unashamedly adorned in cowboy hat and shirt, he has a wonderfully distinctive voice and a batch of great songs notable for their wit and storytelling prowess, as evidenced on recent EP Myself To Blame.

Benjamin Shaw

Originally from Blackpool, Benjamin Shaw first appeared in 2009 with the I Got the Pox, the Pox is what I Got EP, a fuzzing buzzing 6 tracker full of lo-fi dissonance and homicidal romance. The release picked up support from BBC 6Music and scored a slew of rave reviews. Recent debut LP, "There's Always Hope, There's Always Cabernet" mixes the acoustic-base of his previous work with sounds and arrangements somewhere between Odd Nosdam and a disturbed/inspired Brian Wilson. His worldview is never certain and his walk is never assured but they are both his own.

JJ Crash

Hes been called the pearly king of anti-folk, and hes also guitarist in Lucys Diary. His songs are East End blues punk featuring more dodgy characters than an Ian Dury album.
