Lineup and details
Frightened Rabbit
The Selkirk indie/folk rockers toured America last autumn with their debut album Sing the Greys, staying in the US to create their second album The Midnight Organ Fight, released in April.
Esau Mwamwaya & Radioclit
Malawi-born Esau moved to London in 1999, opening a second-hand furniture store in Clapton, on the same street as Radioclit's studio. The Radioclit boys bought a bike from Esaus shop and they began making beautiful music together. This is the result the sound of Lilongwe in E5.
Collapsing Cities
Auckland indie prozac-popsters Collapsing Cities moved to London to capitalise on their NZ reputation for exuberant, twisted post-punk indie rock. Twisted? The band's debut single Fear Of Opening My Mouth features the playful warning, "Next year I think I'll kill myself", and it's jolly enough to catch on with its "I've got the fear" chorus, unison sung-spoken vocals, handclaps, curvilinear guitar pattern and shambling rhythm just made for collapsing students at indie discos The Guardian.
Plus White Heat Djs Matty and Olly.
