Tonight’s live bands make up a granite-hard bumper double bill at the Not The Same Old Blues Crap inaugural show at Madame Jojo’s. Electric Eel Shock Exploding out of Japan in 1999, fired by a mutual obsession with Black Sabbath, Electric Eel Shock embarked on a tour that has seen them criss-cross all four corners of the globe. Celebrating classic rock, punk and metal, the trio harks back to a golden age. They actually learned English by reading interviews with their metal heroes in Burrn Magazine. They turn the conventional perception of metal on its head, but retain a raw power born out of worshipping AC/DC, Aerosmith, Motorhead and Motely Crue.
