Celebrities Richard Blackwood and Stephen K Amos, comedians Slick and JcX and Write2Screen performers will be creating a night of spontaneity, laughter, improvised games and antics at Madame Jojo’s on Friday May 16th. Slick and JcX bring the creative talent of their drama workshop Write2Screen, to create Write2Improv, an innovative improvised comedy troupe. Caught In The Act will illustrate freestyle acting talents, coupled with exciting fun-fuelled games to make it a night of pure entertainment. Slick and JcX, aka Nicholas Ako and Justin Chinyere, come from a drama background and founded the Write2Screen young performers’ drama workshop group at Elephant and Castle. Originally for screen actors, the drama improvisation workshop produced such a richness of creative ideas that the idea of Write2Improv was born. Nicholas and Justin have hosted and performed in comedy shows all over the UK. The young London comedians have made regular appearances as hosts and performers at Kojo’s Comedy Funhouse, Comedy Store (with Rob Rouse), It’s a Joke Ting, U Got Jokes, Oh Sugar Comedy Club, Jumpoff and many more, as well as touring comedy gigs. On radio they have a weekly show on www.vertexfm.com, and have guested on Richard Blackwood’s Show on Choice FM and Tim Westwood’s Show on Radio 1. They have attracted huge attention when touring the UK with their open mic project ‘Hot Topic’, a vox pop on current issues which has been a YouTube hit, and have a fan base of over 9,000 on both Facebook and Myspace.
