WELFARE FOR THE DIGITAL
Sometime ago in the not too distant past, Welfare for the Digital, robots from a time when robots had the same rights as humans, joined forces to start a new revolution in electronic music. A battle plan came together to infiltrate Human Clubs, with their underground beats to create dance floor devastation. Once this goal was complete and the mission in motion, humans heads started to turn, and the origin of Welfare for the Digital was being questioned. After years of research and investigation, humans have still been unable to find the answers.
It wasnt long until Welfare for the Digital were noticed by another group of revolutionaries, Sedition DJs. With Sedition's specific human morals of inciting music rebellion and causing agitation against the authority of the state, the divide between robots and humans came a little closer, and Welfare for the Digital befriended the rebellious crew.
With this relationship founded, Welfare for the Digital has kept their revolution alive with their electronic sounds, and continues to search the globe to deliver their message

Cozzy D (D-Dub / Ninja Cowboys)
Cozzy D, part of production Duo D-Dub and the eclectic Ninja Cowboys is no stranger on the London Circuit. With D-Dubs first ever release getting a Money Shot tag, 5/5 rating in DJMag, this duo decided to hit the ground running with their peak time stomper, Genesis through Timo Garcias label, Berwick Street Records. With Genesis they gained support from Groove Armada, Sasha and John Digweed to name a few, and a spot on a Global Underground compilation album.
Cozzy has also been busy pushing his own solo studio projects, and been working with his fellow Cowboys on something a little special! D-Dub has a music policy very close to our own, where forward thinking and upfront music is the key to their success, and we welcome him to our launch at Inigo.
Cozzy D being part of both D-Dub and The Ninja Cowboys has seen quite a bit of action and played across many of the larger clubs including The End, Ministry of Sound, Pacha & Turnmills, including respected nights like Underwater, Type and Renaissance.
Ninja Cowboys re-branded from their original name Dazed & Confused as there seemed to be some confusion as people thought they were associated with the magazine, and swiftly moved forwards with a re-brand. Dazed and Confused held a 2 and a half year residency @ Kidology Records and proved their worth every minute they were there.
The Ninja Cowboys brand which is not only rememberable, but when you see these guys on 3 decks, you wont just be remembering the name, but the driving beats and their presence behind the decks.
Welfare for the Digital aim to bring you the best in quality underground house music, and we have invited Cozzy D to our launch for a reason, which will become very clear on the night, we look forward to watching your jaws drop.
Chris Jones (MiMo)
Chris Jones is a veteran on the London scene, and can usually be found at one of the main haunts in the capital banging out his unique mix of uplifting underground house. As an established and recognised International DJ for the past 3 years, he has included escapades to Ibiza, Cyprus and Hungary, and also played at some of the best venues in the capital including Pacha, Turnmills, The Cross and The Whitehouse.
Chris has gained support from Tania Von Pear and was given the chance to air a guest mix on her Ministry of Sound Radio Show in 2007.
Throughout 2007 Chriss night MiMo has grown and established an amazing residency at Mango in Reading, which is one of the most fore-front clubs within the area, and have had top guests including Seb Fontaine, Inland Knights and Mutiny. Going forward in 2008 you will see a lot more of Chris, and the MiMo crew as they carry on their onslaught of the Capital. Chris Jones will not be taking any prisoners at the Welfare for Digital launch and we are proud to have him join us.
Marky Sparks (Electro Boutique)
Either if you DJ or not, everyone has respect for a good quality warm up DJ. It takes a lot of talent and time to be able to nail this kind of set, and Welfare for the Digital stumbled across this gem of a DJ while playing for Spinout Records @ The White House. There was no way we were going to let Marky Sparks not be involved in this one.
Apparently his peak time sets are even better, and has been seen putting peoples hands in the air at Turnmills, HaHa Bar for Audioflux and Electro Boutique.
He is also part of the Dj Duo Low and Murphy and had regular slots for Platform 9 in Guildford through 2007 and 2008.
This bright spark will be getting everyones feet moving in the early hours of the night and getting you ready for the onslaught that is Welfare for the Digital. We welcome Marky with open arms to the event, with his Deep, Crunky Driving Beats
