Tactile
Headlining is Jackmaster - part of the Numbers crew from Glasgow and selector extraordinaire. With two Fabric Room 1 takeovers under their belt as well as regular parties in Glasgow that are the envy of London-based clubbers, Numbers are a force to be reckoned with. The label, comprising various Glasgow-based labels under one all-conquering moniker, has so far seen crucial releases from the likes of Rustie and Kavsrave as well as Deadboy's peerless anthem 'If U Want Me'. Jackmaster is an incredible DJ, and his tightly mixed, eclectic sets have taken him to Fabric, Sonár and Melt Festival in Germany over the last few months. Drawing on classic house, techno and electro, as well as contemporary UK bass music, while always keeping his eye on the rave, his style is a perfect match for what we do at Tactile and we frankly can't wait to have him play for us. Stream Jackmaster's awesome Sonár set here to enjoy, among other things, the best transition we've heard all year (from DJ Gregory 'Dama S Salon' to Kraftwerk 'Computer Love'): http://www.xlr8r.com/news/2010/06/stream-jackmasters-live-set-s-na

Expect tough beats somewhere between House, Funky, and Grime - that'll be Eski House then - and plenty of his own exclusive material.

Repping the techno end of things are MB and CB from the London-based Colony night. Having brought Scuba, TVO, Arne Weinberg and Millie & Andrea to London these boys know a thing or two about techno and dubstep and we're looking forward to them tearing up the wee upstairs room at The Horse & Groom.Check out their mixes here: http://soundcloud.com/colonyparty As if that's not enough we're going to be treated to a 'birthday Lex' set by music critic Alex Macpherson, whose writing appears regularly in The Guardian, FACT and Metro. Champagne at the ready.. Phew
Now for Shamless Disco
Andy Blake will headline the Shameless Disco bank holiday bash at the Horse & Groom. Sir Blake is a DJ and record label boss of considerable repute in these here parts, having run one of the UK?s best dance labels in the form of Dissident. Indeed news that he was retiring the imprint was met by the sound of a collective groan from lovers of interesting dance music. The Dissident back cat contained an eclectic mixture that touched on house, techno, EBM, electronic disco and beyond.. Since then Blake has started up a new vinyl-only CavePaintings imprint, and has also been hard at work in the studio we areparticularly smitten with his upcoming remix of the Detachments, which was recorded in one take and clocks in at a mere 18 minutes!!! The man also knows how to throw down a decent tune, so expect him to keep you all dancing until silly o?clock.
Supporting on the night Lusty Zanzibar - With releases on Bear Funk and an album on the way via Tirk sub-label Nang, this man is a name to watch for anyone with shreds of disco in their beard. A master of low slung, sultry mid tempo jams, this unbeatably named character bleeped onto the Shameless Disco radar with his version of ?Silent Running? on Nang?s Sci Fi cover album. We then fell in love with his first single ?For My Friends? released on Bear Funk - and his production work on Bille Ray Martin Cabaret Voltaire cover ?Just Fascination?. With the debut Lusty Zanzibar album Keep Em Coming due out in October, we are incredibly excited towelcome him down for the bank holiday bash at the Horse & Groom.
Now for Discovery in the Boudoir
Discovery head honchos Neil Thornton & Dave Rose and friends Shorty G and Daddy P will be looking after for Boudoir for the evening playing a Carnival influenced selection of Roots, Reggae, Funk, Disco to get every onoe in the party spirit for the Horse and Groom's biggest party weekend to date.
Part 2 is on Sunday at The Horse & Groom which sees Discovery and Warm join forces to bring a serious lineup including Jamie Jones and Pete Herbert, so don't miss out
