The soundtrack to a wild, liquor-fuelled hoe-down! Spreading the
spirit of old-time blues and Americana to a huge variety of audiences,
their infectious stomping rhythms, slide guitar and banjo coupled with
huge mournful vocals conjure up scenes of dusty crossroads and cracked
river beds so vivid your throat gets dry just listening to them...
Since they formed as 4-piece in 2006, they have played a raft of gigs
including the Reading, Glastonbury and Secret Garden Festivals and have had radio play in the UK and
the USA.
Music Mart recently said of them: "They're very clearly a class
act; there are a whole raft of signed bands unfit to lick the shiny
boots of The Cedars"

"Folk @ The Moon" along with its sister night, "Last Exit @ The Moon", has established itself over the past 12 months as South London’s premier folk & americana evening. Held on the first Friday of every month at the legendary Half Moon in Herne Hill, the "Folk @ The Moon" sessions have seen some of the very best performers on the London folk circuit today.
The Half Moon, is one of South London’s top venues and has easily the best sound system. The venue has a capacity of 220 and has hosted the likes of U2, Van Morrison, The Police, Rory Gallagher, & The Wonder Stuff in years gone by.
