Lineup and Details for Club Fandango presents The Naturals + I Am Blackbird + Heart Of A Dog on Tue 3rd July 2012
THE NATURALS - 10.15pm
"Bristol based foursome The Naturals sound like an underwater Foals reared on a diet of Kevin Shields and Mercury Rev. Current single 'Concrete Sea' is one of the finest pieces of music we've heard all year. I'm sure you'll agree" DiS
"the Naturals' debut on howling owls strikes a fine line between cyclical, chiming guitars borrowed from the art rock spectrum and the colours of epic melancholy found in the ensemble vocals. the winsome changes and refined playing are underpinned by a great thumping backbeat that drives the sentiment home" Rough Trade

I AM BLACKBIRD - 09.30pm
'Fresh from the green fields of Glastonbury and the bright lights of the Big Apple, this Manchester 4-piece bring us their debut EP, featuring two tracks that showcase their diverse sound. "Three Steps" rumbles along on a propulsive drum rhythm, cut through with subtle guitar chimes, eerie cello and a nice vocal melody, before the tempo ups with some sharp snare snaps and twanging guitars. "Last Thing On Your Mind" is a much slower, contemplative affair with lonesome country vocals over delicately picked guitar, strings and brushed drums. Lovely stuff and easily a match for 'next-big-thing' contenders Mumford & Sons and the like.' - (Piccadilly Records - Sept 09)

HEART OF A DOG - 08.45pm
An alternative lo-fi folk collaboration between Samuel Leonard Keith Leonard (Ninoskika) and Jonathan Allen (Ray Brower). They practice once a week in a crypt below a dental practice, in the medieval City of Norwich.
The band took time away from the gig circuit to pen their latest offering. As we speak, they are ready to release their second EP With the Head of a Beast. This time round, however, they have acquired the representation of Bare Feet Records (Sam James Hill, King Laconic), and are set to release on the of 2012, with a string of gigs and tour dates.
