The Platform Project presents....

Platform One...

2 headliners join us for our launch event in the shape of Defected's James Talk & Mooch's very own Natalie Coleman. All under the roof of 'Design My Nights best London club' Basing House.

To keep the projects ethos alive we welcome two new DJs, The projects own resident Jon'te and up & coming Michael Hauck. Serving up some tasty deep, tech house vibes with techno overtones. The music policy will surely warm you up for the weekend ahead. After all Thursday has been the new Friday for some time now.

The Projects ethos is to create relaxing atmosphere, introducing up & coming acts as well as giving those experienced party goers headliners to shake a leg to. We aim to give new DJs a platform to step up and gain experience playing out in a club.If you are an up & coming or bedroom DJ we want to hear from you. If you would like to be considered to play at one of our events please come along with your promo mix. Music policy is deep house, tech house and techno.

The party is what you make it, get involved with the project, network and help us build something new and slightly different.....

James Talk [Defected]

One of the unsung heroes of the UK house music scene, going from a fledgling producer and DJ championed by Pete Tong to a global star, gracing the worlds most respected labels and clubs on a regular basis.

The 27-year-old Southampton talent has been DJing half his life, and over the last 7 years has carved a name for himself in the production world as one the most talented groove-makers around. Whether its the straight-up, chunky acid and tech house sound that hes best known for, or the flashes of anthemic genius in his tracks with Ridney (Sunshine and their Pet Shop Boys approved rework of West End Girls both chosen as Tongs Essential New Tunes), his productions are always filled with colour, character, and funk.

Having graced world-leading labels like Get Physical, CR2, Bedrock, Noir, Saved and Fabric in recent years, hes kicked off the new decade in sterling form with his stomping, peak-time remix of M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shades Donut with the latter loving his version so much that theyve asked him to remix their stone-cold classic Manderine Girl. In addition, hes had releases throughout 2010 on acclaimed labels like Blu-Fin, Great Stuff Recordings and Global Underground.

After playing many of the worlds most revered clubs over the last few years including Tokyos Womb, Chicagos Spy Bar, Londons Ministry Of Sound, Manchesters Sankeys and Torontos Footwork he continued to tour the globe extensively throughout 2010 & 11, with many more exciting plans a foot for the year. His successful Radio 1 Essential Mix from September 2009 will be followed on by a third guest mix for John Digweeds Transitions show.

In an age when the continental European sound dominates the house and techno scene, James Talk remains one of the UKs brightest talents, reminding the world where tech house came from in the first place. A breath of fresh air from the droves of posturing scenesters and minimal chinstrokers, his is a sound which goes back to the visceral essentials.

Natalie Coleman [Mooch]

Over the past few years Nats name has been on the flyer of almost every London party worth its salt. Influenced by heavyweights such as Luciano, Queen Maxine and Loco Dice her unique style of driving minimal house, blended with playful techno has seen her rock packed out floors alongside the likes of Booka Shade, Martin Landsky, Hearthrob, Jerome Sydenham, Dinky, Mr C, tINI, Guti to name a few.

Nats residency at Terry Harts Redlight Afterhours has given her a platform on which to build a reputation for consistently delivering the goods. Adding to this with a slot at Booka Shades Album Launch, Jaded and regular appearances for Genius, House FM and other London underground parties, she has cemented her place as one of Londons rapidly rising stars.

Jon'te [Platform Project resident]

Michael Hauck [Mika.Moo]
