100% of dead British 15 year olds have stopped breathing by the time they die - a percentage that shows no sign of decline. 1 in 3 British people have stopped breathing by the time they're 80 - a figure that rises to 1 in 2 by the age of 85.
It's an affliction to which all of us are prone, regardless of class, age or nationality. In the last year alone, celebrities as diverse as Jeremy Beadle, Heath Ledger and Edmund Hilary have all died from stopping breathing.
