DIGITAL and ANALOGUE sounds from...
As a portal into a world of daydreams, tumbling into shadows and embracing luminescence simultaneously, Gang Colours turns drum patterns into magic. Breeding surreal headphone-friendly landscapes, he fills them with unexpected sounds that would otherwise seem out of place. Within his intricate collages however, they nestle so comfortably its hard to remember their usual context. At times his sound effects strike a peculiar balance between otherworldly and familiarity (reminiscent of slide whistles or insects buzzing). At other points they conjure a sense of longing. Think Mount Kimbie with a playful sense of humour, Burial on a soft, sunny dancefloor, Gold Panda with an R&B lean.
Sepia is one of Londons up and coming UK Bass/ 2 Step Garage DJs. His new EP entitled Crushed being released sometime in April of this year. His music has the ability to convey emotions and feelings to the listener much in the way that Dubstep manages to create an emotional entanglement with its listeners, that rush and tingling down your back when you hear a particularly emotive track.
Future sounds and impressive precussion from Wattville, he's got a forthcoming 12" release out in june on label Sonic Router. Check his soundcloud to have a listen!
Twinsmith has a very unique and interesting sound to his productions. With blissfull atmospheric textures and creative use of precussion to take you away to that peaceful place in your mind. Also holds a variety of musical weapons in the form of exclusive dubs.
'The million-kilometre-long tendrils of magnetic force, the sudden explosion of radio waves, the geysers of electrified plasma wider than the planet Earth - they were as real and clearly visible to him as the clouds banding the planet in multi-hued glory. He could understand the complex pattern of their interactions, and realized that Jupiter was much more wonderful than anyone had ever guessed.' - Arthur Clarke [3001:Final Odyssey]
