Lineup and details
RIOT & THE POPSHOTS
Riot and the Popshots are an energetic four piece punk band formed in the summer of 2007 out of being sick and tired of a boring music scene, & set out to make punk rock as they like it. With furiously fast guitars, venomous lyrics, chant along choruses and the occasional bit of ska, the band have been causing a stir everywhere they go with their super high energy show. http://www.myspace.com/riotandthepopshots
SKINTIGHT JAGUARS
Theyre loud, snotty, trashy, and combine punk with sleaze in a way best described as decadently apocalyptic - ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE. These guys are fired up, angry and ready to go off at a moment's notice. You get the feeling that twenty-four hours spent with these guys would leave you dead or at least seriously injured. What more do you want from a band? - POWERPLAY MAGAZINE. http://www.myspace.com/skintightjaguars
THE APOSTATES
When you get a Radio One Session with Mike Davies after a year together you must be doing something very, very right. Such is the case with Londoners The Apostates, who got together in the hazy summer days of 2006 to start kicking out soulful ska punk tunes with a side order of surf licks. London and proud of it, The Apostates stick two fingers up at those English bands who put on fake American accents, injecting their two EPs 'Junkyard Dogs & Alley Cats' and 'Same Old Sound' with a hefty dose of Britishness as well as some supremely dirty ska. With songs 'Same Old Sound' and 'Off My Life' to be featured in the 'NHL 2k8' video game, things are certainly looking up for this hotly-tipped trio. CLASS OF 1984
Singing joyful songs about transvestitism, incest & murder & with delusions of arena rock grandeur in their heads, Class of 1984 were born when they opened for the irrepressible Robert Plant in the summer of 2006. That night, an unsuspecting crowd was witness to Class Of 1984s primo brand of skuzzy rock cutting through the haze of a smoke & hippie filled sweaty arena. They've been voted best upcoming band by 2 national radio stations & were listed in Chris Moyles best top 10 unsigned bands. http://www.myspace.com/classof1984
THE BLACK LIES
Alternative post punk rockers The Black Lies have been described by Bugbear Promotions as, "Good & gutsy take on the Arctic Monks cheeky chappiness" with "Nicely paced [i.e fast] songs throughout & good guitar moves
