Freeze presents...A Rave in a Cave with NICK WARREN tickets and listings

You can tell when Nick Warren's on the decks. The music emanating from the dj booth is that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality, bursting out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody, drenching them in sound.

Since we have moved into our new home, and commenced with our series of ‘Raves in a Cave’, that is what we have been striving to achieve - the perfect club. To even begin to achieve that goal we need a world class DJ. Nick Warren certainly falls into that category.

Freeze gigs to date at The Tunnels have played host to some magnificent DJ’s, some up and coming names and some house music legends, but Warren transcends all of these. He is, alongside perhaps only John Digweed, one of the original batch of 90’s ‘superstar dj’s’ who is still hugely relevant on the clubbing landscape of 2010. Still packing clubs world wide, he is a truly world renowned and world class DJ. Still hugely revered and respected in Liverpool from his residency in Cream’s heyday, Warren has a great fondness for the city and a performance in the intimacy and intenseness of the Cave will be something to behold. To have the opportunity to see someone of Warren’s talent and stature in such a fantastic small venue is not to be missed!

In addition to being at the forefront of club culture and electronic music for two decades as a DJ, Nick has also been responsible for producing some luscious house and electronica. Along with friend and production partner Jody Wisternoff, Nick’s Way Out West moniker have produced 4 critically acclaimed studio albums, generating seminal cuts such as ‘Ajare’ and classic ‘The Gift’. September of 2009 saw the launch of the ‘We Love Machine’ album (on Nick’s own Hope Recordings) which has seen the duo touring extensively across the globe. New single ‘Future Perfect’, a slab of absolute electronic delight, has had an amazing reaction and the killer Henry Saiz remix has had repeated plays from the likes of Sasha, Digweed and Danny Howells.

Joining Nick in supplying the evening’s entertainment is Andy Newland from our London friends Twisted Audio and Freeze resident Rob Casson.

So come join us as we continue our journey in the Cave at The Williamson Tunnels, three sold out gigs into our residency and the Freeze bandwagon continues to gather momentum!! The Rave in the Cave, from being whispered about in hushed corners throughout early 2009 exploded into life in the second half of the year and is now being shouted from the roof tops as we hurtle head first into 2010 and beyond!
