Lineup and details for Steven Joseph Hickey and The Liverpool Guitar Society Ensemble on Friday 17th February 2012
Working in conjunction with Hope University, Liverpool Guitar Society are very pleased to be able to promote a concert by Liverpool-born, award winning guitarist Steven Hickey, on Friday 17th February 2012 at the Capstone Theatre in Liverpool.
Steven was a student at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of classical guitar luminaries Craig Ogden and Gordon Crosskey. A highlight of his time in Manchester was performing Steve Reichs Electric Counterpoint at the Future Everything 2011 festival in Manchester in the presence of the composer.
Now studying for a Masters degree in London at the Royal College of Music, Steven has also established the London Guitar School earlier this year.
In this concert Steve will be performing works by Leo Brouwer, Gary Ryan, Barrios and J.S. Bach, and will also revisit Steve Reich's stunning multi-guitar composition Electric Counterpoint.
He will be supported by a classical guitar ensemble set from The Liverpool Guitar Society.
