Mathias Kaden is back to play for us after a show stealing headline performance for mUmU last easter in liverpool.

Its difficult to label his music, it fuses a number of sounds and styles with samba, jazz, and latino rhythms all dancing over a driving groove. The 27 year old German has a long production history that includes EP’s released on Vakant, collaborations with Marek Hemmann & Turkey’s Onur Ozer and a repertoire of remixes for artists including Anja Schneider, Noze & Trentmoller. Mathias is the perfect example of how a new generation of artists are currently removing the boundaries of genre and cross-pollinating into other styles, breaking new ground for the listener. We cannot wait for him to get behind the decks for us again.

Ivan Smagghe is our Aztec guest, providing the darker edge to the night's soundtrack.

Smagghe hails from the early days of the Parisian underground, his influences are very much rock orientated however, the first 12" he bought was Soft Cell 'tainted love' aged 13, followed by new order and joy division prints... Then getting into dj's like Andrew Weatherall and electronic music, through working in a record shop in Paris, the love grew in that direction. Fast forward to today, his Blackstrobe project, regular headline sets at Fabric, T bar and the worlds best clubs have put Ivan at the forefront of the techno scene.

Martinez also makes a welcome return behind the decks for mUmU after an outstanding debut last july when he played 4 hours.

At an early age he discovered techno and house music. He already played the piano & guitar, so naturally started producing his own music.His sound began in the deeper & jazzier fields of electronic music, moving through to the more organic house/techno orientated sound we know today. He’s played together with major DJ's such as Michael Mayer, Miss Kittin, Guido Schneider, Onur Özer, Loco Dice & Sven Väth, in clubs such as Weetamix in Geneva, Amnesia & Space in Ibiza, Raum in Barcelona, Cocoon in Frankfurt and Panorama Bar in Berlin to name a few.
