Nicky Siano was dancing in Manhattan clubs at 15, and by the age of 17 was resident and co-owner of the hottest club in New York: The Gallery. He mentored Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan, worked in the studio with Arthur Russell, and is one of a handful of DJ's who started the dance music scene in New York:
Nicky Siano TRULY deserves to be called a legend.
Not only did he inspire such clubs as THE GARAGE & STUDIO 54, but he also launched the careers of Grace Jones, D.C. La Rue, & Loleatta Holloway to name a few.
He also famously worked the dj booth at Bianca Jaggers infamous Studio 54 Birthday Party. It was no coincidence that when Steve Rubelle opened Studio 54 he chose Nicky as one of the two original DJs
Leaf at Grey Space is based on Water Street in the heart of the City.
Its in a TRUE historic and landmark location:
With views of the Pier Head & Liver Building, its retained all its original character of the 1920s banking hall it once was. I actually couldnt speak for the first 5 minutes when we viewed all its splendour.
The venue is backed from the team at Leaf on Bold Street and is PERFECT for this amazing party were going to bring you fabulous people.
So Liverpool and beyond, we absolutely PROMISE you that this party WILL be Disco Special.
Nicky once said that The Gallery was all about the Dancefloor and the Music. A place where people were dancing SO hard, you would see the wooden dance floor actually moving
Think 1970s vibration: A feeling of Glamour, Decadence, Free spiritedness, Anything goes attitude! Think dancing so hard and so free that we will TURN THIS MOTHERFUCKER OUT
