Super Sunday Fundraiser listings

Local ropes course Aerial Extreme is rewarding Knowsleys' local heroes in a monthly fundraising initiative called, Superhero Sundays.

For the next twelve months, customers can book a go on the Safari Park based course for half price on the last Sunday of each month at 10am. All that money will then be donated to a local charity, which this year will be Willowbrook Hospice.

From Sunday 31st May, anyone can receive half price entry - which equals £10 per adult and just £7.50 per child - to the outdoor adventure venue by pre-booking one of the 27 monthly slots available. Site Manager, Becky Allen said: "There are many great charities in the local area that work tirelessly to make less fortunate people's lives better without thinking of themselves. We want to recognise these ‘superheros' and support them in any way we can."

Staff and supports of Willowbrook will be invited to their course absolutely free for a ‘team-building' event on a date of their choice - and will be invited to dress as their own favourite super hero.

Aerial Extreme will present a cheque to Willowbrook at the end of the year, and is hoping to raise in excess of £800.

A spokesperson for Willowbrook Hospice, Nicky Saunders said: ""We are delighted that Aerial Extreme has chosen to donate the Superheroes money to Willowbrook Hospice. I look forward to meeting as many Superheroes as possible as they take part in this exciting challenge!"

Aerial Extreme is an outdoor adventure ropes course suitable for anyone above 1.1m in height. Comprising of separate Junior and Adult Adventurer courses, the site allows visitors to swing from ropes, balance on wobbly beams and zoom along zip lines at heights of up to 14m.
