Shakespeare, Poetic Language & Finding Character by Ian Brown of WYPlayhouse listings

Ian Brown is the Artistic Director of West Yorkshire Playhouse and has been for ten years.
We're offering a very special and rare opportunity to take advantage of Ian's extensive knowledge of directing Shakespeare before he steps down from his post later this year.

The Workshop:
Looking at characterisation through a practical and detailed exploration of the poetic language of Shakespeare, with specific reference to As You Like It. Could all participants bring with them three copies of a duologue from As You Like It (a show which Ian directed at WYP in 2010 to critical acclaim).

Who's it for?
Anyone who wants to learn.

WHERE:
The workshop will be in Rehearsal Room 3 which is in St Peters Buildings opposite the BBC. This is not actually in the main Playhouse building. St Peters Building houses: First Floor our new space for young people, our Wardrobe Hire Department and on the top floor is Rehearsal Room 3. Access is through the door just to the left of the Wardrobe Café bar (ring the buzzer).

COST: £30 (WYTN Members) or £40 (Non Members)
