Witty, dynamic, exciting, original and totally accessible, the Neil Cowley Trio have become known for their catchy hooks, soulful moments and thrilling climaxes. Emphasis is placed on short tracks, repeating melodies and at times funk and high energy ferocity.
After receiving widespread critical acclaim for the band’s debut album, including the award for Best Album at the 2007 BBC Jazz Awards, the trio released Loud… Louder… Stop! in March of this year on the new indie jazz label, Cake. It demonstrates a range of influences including Cowley's previous incarnation as keyboard player for Zero 7 and the Brand New Heavies.
