As you’d expect from the North’s craziest party, we are serving up something a little different. Something extra special for our New Year’s Eve party @ Mint Club.

The theme is to be based around Shane Meadows’ peerless depictions of this country during the 80s, namely his 'This is England' series. So we want to see a club full of 80's Punks, Mods, New Romantics & Goths. And what’s more, the team will convert the usual smoking area into an intimate second room hosted by Nest & Kamjii spinning the finest underground house/funk/soul/cosmic disco and hip hop!!

As for the futuristic club’s main room, with its sleek lines, Watergate styled LED disco panel and untouchable Funktion One, headliners will be Hugo and Pleasurekraft. Italian Hugo is boss of Goodvibes Records, as well as Tonimusic, and has played everywhere from Womb/Tokyo, Fabric/London, Rex/Paris, Zukunft/Zurich, Goa Club/Rome to Tresor/Berlin. His blend of old and new school sounds and techniques have seen his records get released on Tuning Spork, Systematic, Hartchef Discos and more.

Pleasurekraft, meanwhile, made-up of Kaveh Soroush and Kalle Ronngardh's, will offer a simultaneously visceral and cerebral experience induced only by the seductive, deep, groove heavy, underground Tech-House inspired music that has seen them release on labels like Cr2 and Greatstuff Recordings. 

As well as that all the Filth and Nest & Kamjii residents will be on rotation throughout the evening in both rooms. So, decided where your allegiances lie – be it with punk, mod or rock – source yourself a costume and get ready to party in style amongst all the extra production offered up by Filth, one last time in 2010.
