What a year 2010 has been for us here at Nest; From hosting a small back room in Barnsley, we’ve gone on to play in Ibiza and some of the best clubs throughout the Uk. We’ve presented you with Leeds Debut’s from Nico Lahs, Julien Sandre and Inxec to name but a few, also 2010 saw us completing one of our lifetime dreams and hosting the blackbox at the legendary Back to Basics. It’s been somewhat of a whirlwind year for us and we’re not even 1 yet!

We want to continue pushing clubbing boundaries by bringing you some of the best parties in Leeds in the upcoming year. After the truly amazing party upstairs in basics, with an unrivalled atmosphere never before witnessed, we’ve decided to move our party to the infamous blackbox at Stinkys Peephouse. We will continue to bring you the latest talent in underground house, but we aim to make our party’s more exclusive and intimate so you can gain a truly rare and memorable experience. 

So for our first party of 2011 what better ways than to kick start the New Year with a label showcase. We have gone all out this time to bring you one of the hottest labels around in underground house music. With a roster packed with huge talent such as Marc Ashken, Glimpse, Russ Yallop ,Jimmy Edgar, Lee Curtiss, Johnny D ,Shonky and Matt Tolfrey all making singles or remix’s for the label, it’s clear to see why Leftroom Records is currently one of the most leading records labels in the business.

Matt Tolfrey -:

Matt Tolfrey is one of those individuals that you won’t forget. An energetic DJ, talented producer and manager of the UK’s biggest break-through record label, Leftroom, he’s not afraid to put his soul into his goals and his enthusiasm shines through.

Alongside propelling three labels Tolfrey also DJs globally playing for Sunday School for Degenerates in Miami, Culprit, Fabric, Mulletover in Ibiza, and Panorama Berlin. His productions and remixes have been released on Cocoon Recordings, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Saved and he has collaborated with Marc Ashken, Inxec, Glimpse, Eric Johnston and Delete.

So how did he come so far so quickly? The answer is simple. Matt is a workaholic with a seemingly tireless dedication to forging his own unique style and bringing life to the scene around him. Drawing on everything from deep house and techno, through to stripped down beats, he's spawned his own hybrid strain of electronic funk. Anyone lucky enough to have already witnessed Matt in action will know that his particular brand of wobbly house and techno has the power to win hearts and destroy minds on the dance floor.

Russ Yallop -:

Russ Yallop (Aka Rusty James) is a serious slice of hot new talent with a massive release on Damian Lazarus’s vanguard label; Crosstown Rebels. Of course we are talking about his 'I can't wait' E.P which has been tearing up Dancefloors all over the world with the likes of Art Department, Jamie Jones & Clive Henry all supporting his music to name a few.

Russ combines the magnetism of disco with the raw energy of contemporary house music. His fresh recognisable sound with contagious basslines, filter cut vocals and cosmological synths have been tearing up dance floors across the word. With Future Releases on Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion it's sure Russ is definitely one to watch in 2011.
