Mike Koglin - http://www.mikekoglin.com/
Anyone who knows their way around the trance soundscape knows the name Mike Koglin. Since kicking the door down and reaching the UK Top 20 in 1998 with "The Silence" he's been an established mainstay of the scene right from its nascent years.
Throughout his career both behind the decks and in the studio, the dynamic and energetic tracks which have become emblematic of his style have earned him a Grammy nomination and a place in DJ Magazine's annual Top 100, as well as critical acclaim across the board from artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Above&Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules and many others. His body of work is extensive, and his CV comprises writing, production and remix credits for big names including Boy George, Jeremy Healy, Dido, Cassandra Fox, Above&Beyond, The Thrillseekers, Pulser, Darren Tate and Simon Patterson. While releasing his work on established labels such as Anjunabeats, Spinnin, Discover, Ministry of Sound and other prestigious record companies Mike also runs his own label Noys Music, described by Mixmag as 'one of the hottest trance labels in the UK'.
Mike hosts his increasingly popular radio show 'The Noys Sessions', aired monthly on DI.fm and many other international stations, which is also available as a free podcast on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-noys-sessions-mike-koglin/id370782577 )
At present, Mike is preparing to unleash a slew of fresh material including several exciting solo projects, various remixes, and a number of collaborations with some of the biggest names in EDM. And with DJ bookings flying in thick and fast the future looks set to see Mike continue to reign supreme in the trance genre.
Simon Bostock - http://www.simonbostock.co.uk/
In such a short period of time Simon has already had many highlights. Paul van Dyk dropped his track "Human Nature" at Trance Energy 2009 in front of 30,000 up-for-it party goers, Armin van Buuren supporting his Thrillseekers remix "The Last Time" on Radio, DJ Sets and featuring on his massive A State of Trance 2008 CD compilation. Simon's remix of Teya's "Only You" also featured on The Thrillseekers compilation "Night Music Vol 3". He also took on the role of remixing Activa's vocal track with Julie Harrington "Away From This", featuring on Activa's first artist album "This World".
With that, DJ'ing with the like of The Thrillseekers, John Askew, Gareth Emery, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Simon Patterson, Oliver Smith, Lange in venues in London such as Trance Generation, The Gallery and Electronic Sessions. As well as the demand for guest radio sets on stations like Digitally Imported, Afterhours and Puresound.
When it comes to radio shows, Simon is a busy man being proud to host his own monthly radio show "Innovate Sessions" exclusively broadcasted on Afterhours every 3rd Thursday from 16:00CET/15:00GMT playing a mixture of progressive to uplifting trance to a worldwide audience. Not only that, he also co-hosts the monthly two hour radio show Trance Generation with Ehren Stowers, broadcasted on puresound.fm and totaal.fm radio stations packed with all the latest upcoming electronic dance music.
On the production side, Simon has witnessed his releases coming out on top labels such as Amarda, Flux Delux, Perceptive Recordings, Adjusted, Conspiracy, RedForce, Proxoz and his own up and coming label Insight Recordings.
Lee Osborne - http://www.lee-osborne.com/
Proclaimed by dance music luminaries as one of the most exciting new producers on the scene right now, the dynamic forward thinking artist Lee Osborne took the dance music scene by storm in 2010. A DJ, producer and promoter for 10 years, and part of a well known infamous London collective alongside Ali Wilson, Matt Smallwood and Ben Gold, it wasn't until his remix of 'Automanual' became Marco V's most requested track in his live sets that people really started to sit up and take notice. The phenomenal progressive tech re-work was an instant hit and the first ever remix of the classic was released on Marco's critically acclaimed Incharge records. But this was only the beginning, with nearly 30 tracks to his name, over the past 10 years Osborne was already a prolific producer so there was no surprise that he had been locked up in the studio for nearly 18 months developing his indelible new sound, a distinctive mix of trance, techno and progressive bass driven grooves.
Now armed with a pioneering original full catalogue of ground breaking material, Osborne was ready to take the game on in full force, it was his time. The self proclaimed release of 'Innocent' featured on WA-X Records was the prologue to the aforementioned rise and support from the World's biggest DJ Tiesto, only consolidated his new vision. Mondo Records soon followed up with the signings of the more melodic 'Eight' & 'Nine' but the the jewel in the crown was with Incharge's second signing, the original debut called 'Blow Me' which still remains number 1 in the Tech Trance charts today, and following single 'NKM'. Unifying once again with his long time production partner Ali Wilson during the creation of his much anticipated album 'Phenomenal' resulted in the creation of 'Absolute' which made Armin Van Buuren's tune of the week on the prestigious ASOT radio show. This was to be the A side of their first EP release on High Contrast including B side 'Monastery' which is also featured on the labels 'Best of 2010' and Ronal Van Geldren's High Contrast Presents album. With the second EP 'Sonar' & 'Flash' already scheduled for release in January, his momentum is gathering exceptional pace. And with over 10 more releases already scheduled over the next three months one thing is true he will always be a forefront of change moving forward like he only knows how.
