a long overdue and very welcome return to leeds for the fastest hands in techno and (in our opinion) the world's number one dj. we've been looking forward to this one for months now and it's going to be a classic. if you've not seen Oscar before then this will probably be your only chance this year in the UK with his set for us here in Leeds or for those living down south he's headlining Ben Sims' Split party the night before. He's also just been booked to play a headline slot at this year's DEMF and has a new mix cd out on Tresor next month. His label warm up continues to lead the way with recent releases by Counterpart (axis) and Cane (arcola) charting very high at ds2 and juno.

MAKATON - LIVE [rodz-konez - uk]
Steve Bailey aka Makaton is one of the most consistent producers in techno and his superb label Rodz-Konez has seen 15+ releases from himself as well as inigo kennedy, fumiya tanaka, regis, olga+jozef, paul damage, max duley and 65d mavericks. Makaton and Rodz-Konez has been championed for years by old leather pants, Dave Clarke (who charts every release highly) and his trax are always to be heard in sets by djs like Surgeon, Inigo Kennedy and Jeff Mills. His live sets take in everything from ambient soundscapes to minimal techno to full on industrial tinged pounders and this will be his first Leeds gig for 3 years...
