Lineup and Details for Bark in a Park on Sat 16th June 2012
The Bark in a Park will see a number of employees from npowers offices in Limewood and Scarcroft come together with their friends, family and mans best friend to try and reach a fundraising target of £1,000. All money raised will be matched pound for pound by npower. The race will start at 10am on Saturday 16th June and everyone is welcome to come and join the group or sponsor those taking part.
Lindsey Barkham, who has organised the event, said: When we first talked about arranging a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support we wanted to do something that would be a bit different and enable everyone to get involved. Its fantastic to see employees from all areas of the business come together and whatever the weather, the event is sure to be great fun.
Over the last eight years, npowers partnership with Macmillan has reached more than £5 million. This has been achieved through large scale fundraising events and through individual efforts from staff who have run marathons and climbed mountains. This year there will be a number of 10K runs and charity walks taking places at npower offices throughout theUK.
Lindsey continues: Were proud to have such a long term partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, which is valued at more than £5 million. Its a cause that is close to home for many of our employees and this event is another example of their passion to make a difference and help people affected by cancer. I hope everyone has a great day and I would like to thank them for supporting the fantastic work that Macmillan does."
