Lineup and details for Wilkinson Derby Store Set to Re-Open on Saturday 31st March 2012
PRESS RELEASE 22nd March 2011
FIFTY YEARS OF SERVICE CELEBRATED AS WILKINSON RE-LAUNCHES ITS DERBY STORE
The Wilkinson store situated in Victoria Chambers, Derby, will be showcasing a brand new image on Thursday 31st March at 9am, marking a momentous occasion for two special members of staff.
Two members of the store team, Bridget Reid and Theresa Clarke, are each celebrating 25 years working with the company this year, and to thank them for their hard work and commitment, both ladies will join inclusion manager, Rich Astle, from Derby County in the Community, and the Wilkinsons management team, in a ribbon cutting ceremony, to launch the official re-opening.
Wilkinsons will be making a donation to Derby County in the Community on re-opening day, a charity which has emerged out of Derby County Football Club and works with communities throughout Derbyshire, to offer help and support to local projects which require funding.
Further activity planned for the re-opening day includes a charity raffle, which will raise money for Anthony Nolan, Wilkinsons charity of the year, and one lucky customer will walk away with a hamper packed full of gardening goodies, for creating an idyllic spring garden.
On Saturday 2nd April, Wilkinsons will host a family fun day, when a face painter will be in store between10am and4pm to entertain children and a brass band will perform outside the store, between11am and1pm, playing a variety of uplifting tunes.
To treat special mums on Mothers Day, anyone who purchases a card for their mum between 8:30am and 12noon on the family fun day, will get entered into a prize draw, and a bouquet of flowers will be sent to the winners mum on Mothers Day.
Store manager, Marcus De La Rue Browne, commented: We are really looking forward to re-opening day, it will be great to celebrate Bridget and Theresas 25 years with the company.
The whole team has been working extremely hard over the last few months and I have no doubt that customers will be impressed with the new look and feel of the store.
