Not lost, not forgotten, Kendal is Calling once again!

Welsh troubadours Super Furry Animals, King of the UK grime scene Dizzee Rascal, Kendal boys-done good and all-round eccentric rockers British Sea Power, and pioneering turntablists Scratch Perverts will all be amongst many other high calibre live acts & djs answering the call to the Lake District this summer...

Now in its third groundbreaking year, Kendal Calling (founded and run by two of the youngest licensed promoters in the country Ben Robinson and Andy Smith) is one of the most successful small festivals in the UK. It is a testament to originality, artistic integrity and the need to party, burning bright against the dross of bland corporate hum drum that litter the festival season.

Gaining a well-deserved national profile whilst becoming a must in festival-goers calendars in the North-West & beyond, Kendal Calling is pleased to announce an extra day of great music and good times! After two successful sold-out events and due to unprecedented increased demand for tickets it will be doubling it's capacity to 4000 as well as adding a folk/roots tent, comedy and cabaret. Although growing year on year, Kendal Calling remains true to its roots, with a locally focused ethos and a Cumbrian heart with an international ambition, Kendal Calling is redefining what it is to be a music festival. 

Bands don’t just ‘play’ Kendal Calling, they are actively involved in the minutia of artistic decision making. They want to be there as much as the fans and because of that, quite literally anything could happen. This is a festival based around having a good time, quality acts and originality rather than media hype and the latest 'now' bands all set in the beautiful surrounding of the Lake District.

Expect live art from the streets of Manchester and the hills of Lakeland, numerous stages showcasing everything from cutting-edge Indie & guitar-thrashing Rock, Folk Music to comedy, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Dub, Electro, funky House and every other genre of music you can think of!
Eclectic by design, quality by principle, unique in everyway, for 3 days this summer you will hear Kendal Call at the top of it’s lungs for you to join the party and have a superb time!
