Lineup and details for Egypt plus support from Tea and The Jacob Trio on Saturday 11th September 2010
Hardchoice Music have done it again - another great gig and another change of musical direction. This time it's THE BLUES ROCK EXTRAVAGANZA - with legendary musicians who were formerly in HUMBLE PIE, BUDGIE and THE GROUNDHOGS.
If you like blues-tinged classic rock that is rooted firmly in the golden age of late 60's and early 70's rock, then this is the gig for you !
Headlining this event is EGYPT - formed by ex-Groundhog/Budgie members, who spend most of their time globe-trotting to spread their infectious blend of riff-laden blues-rock to the world.
TEA is the biggest and most successful blue-rock band to surface from Madrid probably EVER and now is you're your chance to sample their unique blend of Southern blues-rock live at a decent venue near you.
But its not all about old rockers !
The third band is THE JACOB TRIO which are an acclaimed Ipswich-based blues and folk-rock band whose average age is under 25 - proving that blues-rock is still as vital now as it was in the 1960's.
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE / THEM CROOKED VULTURES frontman Josh Homme has cited the Groundhogs on being a major source of inspiration for his bands. So if you want to see the roots of the stoner-rock legends of today or dive into some vintage classic rock - EGYPT is a band you cannot afford to miss !!
