Grandpa Banan was in 60's Summer of Love legends The Youngbloods. They had the hit 'Get Together' which was used in the films 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' and 'Forrest Gump' ! The Youngbloods were one of the great 'Hippy Rock' bands of the lates 60s, musically a bit like The Grateful Dead and Buffalo Springfield. Banana is still going and its very very rare he playes the UK, let alone HULL ! After the Youngbloods Banana returned to his Americana, Folk roots with a bluegrass twist ! He was instrumental in bringing Californain Bluegrass to wider attention. He still brings out albums, has a guest of Ry Cooder on one and is still a great live performer. Catch him up close and personal at Hulls legendary venue. Just turn up and pay £7 and you'll get in, its that easy. and a bargain !
Support fRohe Wold Riders, a 5 piece Country Americana band from East Yorkshire and also Tan Miller who used to be in Hull legends Lithium Joe ! A good night and a bargain !
