The Hoax

Arguably the most influential British Blues band of the last 20 years, The Hoax exploded onto the British scene in 1991, sweeping all before them with a ferocious blend of energy, excitement and sheer musical ability to establish themselves as one of the most exciting live acts of the Nineties  - Q magazine citing that the last time Englishmen played with such fire and conviction, they had names like The Yardbirds, John Mayalls Bluesbreakers and The Rolling Stones!

The Hoax disbanded at the end of 1999 to pursue their own individual projects but in 2008 they reunited to test the water with a handful of concerts in the UK and Holland.  The band also recently celebrated their 20th anniversary with a further UK mini tour. Having seen them both at Moulin Blues in Holland in 2008 and over Christmas 2009 in their hometown of Devizes, we can confirm that the intervening years have not taken anything away!  The collective brilliance that made them so unique back in the 90’s shines through and they still sound like the most contemporary blues outfit on the planet – an absolute must see!

 Ian Siegal Band

Ian Siegal also makes an overdue return to Linton. One of the most prodigiously talented, critically accalaimed and inventive British artists to emerge over recent years, Siegal is renowned for his live performances and lauded for his recordings. Hs latest album "Broadside" was awarded MOJO's 2009 pick of the year with songs “awash with wit, lust and distraction”.

Big Blind (NL)

Linton’s 10th Anninversary explodes into life with the return of Dutch band 'Big Blind'. Influenced by the likes of 'The Hoax', 'Stevie Ray & Jimmie Vaughan', 'Lester Butler' & 'Howlin Wolf', but playing stunningly original material they produce a mean sounding, rawkin’ kind of blues stamped with their own unique identity and punky attitude. Don’t be late!
