Hellens Manor is proud to welcome the Rosamunde Trio, who will be performing the music of Mozart, Brahms and Dvorak on Saturday 25th February 2012.The Rosamunde Trio have been rapturously received on their UK tours. The Trio's pianist and founder, Martino Tirimo, is a pianist of world renown, who appears regularly in major recitals and with the worlds leading orchestras. The violinist Ben Sayevich and cellist Daniel Veis are also international soloists. Following the Rosamundes recent success at Londons Kings Place, the Trio has been invited to do a major series there in 2013 devoted to the complete Piano Trios of Beethoven. The Trio have toured extensively in Britain and have played at major venues in the USA, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Cyprus and the Czech Republic.

Hellens Manor

Hellens is a beautiful historic house in Much Marcle, and is a living monument to much of Englands history. It remains a family home and contains a wealth of period furnishings, paintings, and decorations. The house strongly supports the arts, and has a real enthusiasm for education, providing historical, environmental, and literary projects and activities, for schools and students of all ages. It is often mentioned how open and welcoming Hellens is, and it is this unpretentious attitude that we bring to our concerts in the Great Barn, for the community and general public to enjoy. The acquisition of our fine Steinway Concert Grand piano has enabled us to present recitals and chamber music performed by the worlds finest musicians.

The Rosamunde Trio, formed in 2002, were rapturously received on their first UK tour in the Autumn of 2003. The Trio's pianist and founder, Martino Tirimo, winner of the prestigious International Piano Competitions of Munich (1971) and Geneva (1972), is a pianist of world renown, who appears regularly in major recitals and with the worlds top orchestras. The violinist, Ben Sayevich, has performed extensively, both as soloist and chamber musician, throughout North America, Europe and the Far East and has appeared on radio and television in both capacities. Daniel Veis, the cellist, winner of the Silver Medal at the famous Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow in 1978, has appeared many times as soloist with the principal orchestras of central Europe.

The Rosamunde Trio has toured extensively in the UK on 15 occasions and has also performed in festivals and major venues in the USA, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Cyprus and the Czech Republic. The Trios recordings include the Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich Trios, as well as Dvoraks Trios, all recorded in Prague at the Liechtenstein Palace.
