Redtenbacher's Funkestra + Inappropriate Presidents tickets and listings

This multinational London-based band is the creative brainchild of bassist, writer and bandleader Stefan Redtenbacher who is currently mixing the material for their fifth album 'The Cooker' which is due later this year.

Alongside the core band, their records feature Funk legends like trombonist Fred Wesley (James Brown, Parliament), baritone saxophonist Stephen 'Doc' Kupka, trumpeter Lee Thornburg, tenor sax player Lenny Pickett (Tower of Power), guitarists Elliott Randall (Steely Dan) and Eric Krasno (Soulive/Lettuce) as well as the finest horn sections from the vibrant London Jazz Funk scene (Incognito, Brand New Heavies) and Michael B. Nelson's 'Hornheads' (Prince).

The band is successfully performing on a regular basis at the renown 606 Jazz Club in London and have appeared at festivals and venues like the European Bass Day (Germany), Kaunas Jazz Festival (Lithuania), Manchester Bass Day, The Cooker at Ronnie Scott's Club, Fulham Palace Jazz Festival, ARGE Kultur (Austria), Greenwich Jazz Festival, Hampton Court Jazz Festival, The Electric Theatre, Pizza Express Live, Jazz at Boaters, The Watershed and many other venues.
