Kings V Queens.Live band night tickets and listings

Towards the end of Autumn 2008, the Portsmouth based band Kings V Queens was just a deliberation – an idea thought up from a zealous draw to music. A simple yet impossible idea thought of on the road back from doing what they loved – seeing live bands, feeling the adrenalin from the crowd and the atmosphere brought with it. It was an aspiration, an idealism, but what evolved was much more.

The turnaround from an idea to action took almost no time at all once the collaboration of vocalist Matt Callanan, bassist Chris Crane and Drummer Mark Cooper came together. Kings V Queens had united in part and with along with local guitarist Ryan Drake started working on their music. br />
It was only with the introduction of the Kings V Queens guitarist James Steed that made the lyrics Matt had written turn into music and after the departure of Ryan Kings V Queens came into its own, writing a range of songs and recording a live demo album entitle “Take a Ride Live” recorded and produced by the bassist of the Summers, Ricky Summers. With this meeting, the songs were further developed and the band continues to write today.
