Last Time Out

Exeter were unlucky to lose 2-1 at Notts County last Tuesday.

On the same night a late equaliser from Bury captain Steve Schumacher denied resurgent Chesterfield a third win in four league games in a 1-1 draw at Gigg Lane. With the JPT finalists going through a purple patch this was probably a better result than the league table suggested..

Former Bury loanee Nicky Ajose gaveChesterfield a 42nd-minute lead with his first goal on loan fromPeterborough.

With just two minutes left, Schumacher headed home to give Bury a deserved draw. Ironically Chesterfieldmight have doubled their lead before the break as Mark Hughes headed a Jack Lester shot off the goalline.

The Board of Trustee's and Bury Football Club were delighted recently announcing that they have been named winners of the prestigious Coca-Cola North West Community Club of the year. An incredible achievement taking them to the National awards ceremony due to be held on the 11th March inLondon. Through its work Bury has managed to connect with over 40,000 people locally in the last year.

What to Look Forward To

Exeter Following up the superb result against Sheffield Wednesday with another home victory.

Exeter last beat Bury scoring the only goal at Gig Lane in 2008/9. For City's laast home win you have to go back to that 5-2 victory in 1991/2. Time to start putting the record on more of a level.

Bury a return to winning ways and consolidate their mid-table position following promotion last year. It would be a return to winning ways for Bury. Their last win was 4 games ago against Yeovil 3-2.

Whats at Stake

Exeter pulling further away from the relegation trap door and closing the gap on mid-table Bury.

Who To Watch

Leading Goal Scorers:

Exeter - Daniel Nardiello - 8

Bury - Andy Bishop 9, Ryan Lowe 7

Bury's Efe Sodje recently completed his 500th career appearance.

Sad News

Former Shakers' manager Tom McAnearney died last Thursday aged 79. Tom was in the Gigg Lane hot seat from 10 November 1970 until 08 May 1972.
