Forty Thieves Orchestar: A dastardly infusion of eastern melodies and sultry London beats. Forty Thieves Orkestar create a unique sound both in their recorded material and in their vibrant gigs. Their influences range from Balkan Gypsy music, Klezmer, and Belly dancing music, to Hip Hop, King Tubby style Reggae and the laid back bar grooves of Kruder and Dorfmeister. Brass, clarinet, violins, accordion, oud and percussion interweave with earthy samples, crisp beats, evocative atmospheric sounds, and studio trickery.

Jon Sterckx is a versatile percussionist based in Devon, UK. Jon has worked across a wide range of musical styles, from traditional musical forms to contemporary experimental styles, theatre collaborations, multimedia and audio/visual work, live percussion loop sampling and many fusion collaborations. Jon's journey into percussion began in the late 1980's, since when he has explored and experimented with instruments and concepts from various musical forms, particularly from the North Indian, Middle Eastern and West African rhythmical traditions.
