best party ive been around edinburgh

saturday was great, but for a fact our bus driver got lost 3 times so instead of 20 mins it took us longer than hour to get there. i loved the venue, place was packed, but so cold and we couldnt return tokens which we bought. overall i would go again..

Rip off... not worth half of the price

Nice music, nice people but the price was a rip off. Come one- £30 for the entry to the cold venue with a huge queues to both toilets and the bar... £4 for a small beer. Nope, don't think it was fair price. But the party was not the worst.

Total disaster...

Firstly, the bus which suppose to leave at 8pm left after 9pm. Then the bus driver did not allow us to leave the ****ing bus when we have been at Ratho- come on, you cannot force people inside! Finally, the return buses were not labelled so we needed to run from one to another bus driver asking where are they going.

NEVER AGAIN.

Sven Vath Cocoon shambolic fiasco!

Sven Vath Cocoon Edinburgh was a total nightmare from start to finish. The pre-booked bus to the event in Ratho arrived on time and the journey was smooth and unevenful. However, the wait in the freezing cold before doors opened was lengthy, the toilet facilities were dire, with only 5 ladies toilets inside for thousands of women. We had to queue for over an hour to use them and many girls were just squatting on the dance floor to pee. This resulted in my shoes nearly being urinated on several times. I'm sure some people would pay for such a thing, but I'm not one of them. The dance floor area itself was bitterly cold, about 0 degrees due to there being no roof on the arena. The sound system was pathetic, could barely feel the bass and so the crowd wasn't jumping at all. The drinks token system was a joke, with the bar running out of everything about 3 hours before the event finished, so most people were so dehydrated they were considering drinking from puddles in the car park. However, the worst was yet to come and we could never have anticipated the end of the night would be so hellish. We joined the massive queues in the car park and were shepherded onto the pavement by security stewards. Eventually a coach to Edinburgh arrived and the crowd surged forward. People were frozen to the core from standing in the freezing temperatures and so the crush of people desperate to get onto the bus was reminiscent of Hillsburgh. The stewards herded most of us back onto the pavement and the bus filled up with the lucky few who managed to squeeze onto it. Another 2 coaches eventually arrived and the scene repeated itself. This left approx. 100 people, who had already been waiting outside for 2 hours and were completely blue and numb from the cold standing waiting on another bus. Suddenly, we noticed the stewards sneaking off to their cars. They shouted back across the car park "there are no more buses. Make your own way home." Well, there was a mad panic. No one could get through to taxi companies at that time of the morning. We were fortunate enough to be grabbed by a couple of guys who lifted us into one of the 5 taxis waiting and we eventually convinced the driver to take us back to Edinburgh. 5 taxis were not nearly enough for the 100 people left, so I'm unsure how they made it back. It took me about 2 days to warm up and we're all still suffering from the experience. All in all, a complete and utter disorganised shambles! Such a disappointment.

Brilliant night. Should have said that the event was more or less outdoors. Absolutely freezing. Drink expensive too.

Awesome night!

I've been going out clubbing for a long time so it's nice to go to an event that still managed to blow me away! Great venue, top tunes and an amazing atmosphere. Was bloody freezing though, which they should have warned you about. Once I'd retrieved my jacket from the cloakroom things were a lot better! Hope they use this venue again.

Not good!!

The venue was absolutely freezing which made the night unbearable! I got picked up early because I was that cold I was starting to feel unwell.
Won't be back in that venue unless I've got my thermals on!!!
