Lineup and details Lineup and details for Homeland, Shortwave Fade, Toxic Federation,Alien Angels on Friday 8th August 2008

Homelands have been together for about 6 months and are Dean, Dave and Jason. A three piece with a bite, individually they are great but together they rock. Their sound is based on rock, funk and rhythm. There is definitely an American feel to there sound but remain British to the core.

Shortwave Fade
Whereas many bands proclaim to have come storming from the underground, few can make this claim so literally. The chemistry was cornered in the basement in Leicester where Ben Allen (guitar/samples) and Chris Holloway (vocals/guitar) used to meet to write and record songs. Joined by Rich Herrington (drums) and Rob Sheppard (bass) SHORTWAVE FADE have begun to trace an upward arc from these roots to a wider audience.

The first demo was met enthusiastically and the initial run sold out as the band set out playing venues all over the country supporting the likes of Keane and The Subways along the way. Shortwave Fade have followed up their first downloadable single 'Anything to anyone' through Oxford-based label Shifty Disco last year, with the 3-track EP 'Cover Your Eyes', now available to download from Shifty Disco.

Toxic Federation
A rock band from Nottingham who are renowned for their adrenalin fuelled live shows. The music is built on soaring, passionate guitar lines, thundering solid bass and incredible, intricate drumming. All the hallmarks of classic rock are there but they seem to drag a dated genre right back into the here and now.
“A well accomplished band who bring style, and hair, to their genre”Surface Unsigned.

Alien Angels
Alien Angels were formed at the start of 2007 when Mike and Oli met at college and started jamming and writing songs together. By the end of the year the four-some had been completed with the addition of Steph on bass and Chris on lead guitar and the band turned the heat up a notch and began work on creating music that they not only loved but challenged them.
