From the ashes of Fubar they rose! In the summer of 07, Glenn Hallligan, Shane Grogan, and Marc Anthony (charismatic, snake-hipped, the essence of what a frontman should be) decided to forge a new band. Named after a landmark of some repute, Spider Bridge Island came to life with Ruth Adamson, devilishly sexy keyboard player, and Andy Ball, possibly the first bona fide guitar hero to come out of middle England since that man with the curly hair and top hat! With a strong following growing ever stronger, SBI welcome you to the flock.
This Derby based group are hugely influenced by music of the sixties, where they believe music was from the heart. Led by a soulful vocal and saxophonist, they aim to bring that sound, and heart, to todays ears with their upbeat meanderings through everyday lives and slick homegrown tunes which bring a warmth and fire to the musical scene not heard since the days of Otis singing on a crackling LP.
