Lineup and details for Ejectorseat, Rosalita on Thursday 16th October 2008
Influences include The Smiths, Manic Street Preachers, The Clash, Suede and any band capable of making meaningful pop songs. Their first two singles Attack! Attack! Attack! and What Do They Care despite being DIY releases made it into the top 40 and top 10 respectively on iTunes as well as - radio play from the likes of Steve Lamacq of BBC6 Music who made the band his New Favourite Band. Xfms up and down the country also supported the singles, and even Jonathan Ross played them on his BBC Radio 2 show.
Gigantically infectious electrorock - THE FLY
"Punchy pop-rock with an urgency that is utterly addictive. Think Blur when they used to have fun, but without the bad accents, or Kaiser Chiefs when they make you wanna pogo." Lisa Verrico - THE TIMES
Rosalita
Rosalita were recently named winners of Channel 4s 'Road To V' competition and secured the opening slot on the Channel 4 stage at V 2007, appearing alongside the Foo Fighters, Babyshambles, The Coral, and The Thrills amongst others. Having formed in Spring 2005, the Ipswich five piece wrote their first songs and began to create their trademark indie/electro/pop sound. Two years and two hundred gigs later their electrifying live stage act has earned Rosalita scores of fans:
'Post punk pioneers' - Steve Lamacq
'They look pretty. They look cocky. They've got an odds on hit in Manga Girl' - NME
