18s and Under music event kicks off in Derby…
IME Music’s Derby Battle of the Bands 18s and Under resumes on Sunday 1st June. Semi-final 2 features…
Sable Dawn - 5-piece rock band located in Duffield, near Derby. They have played many gigs ranging from village fairs and school events to private parties and small venue-based gigs. Their style is predominantly rock/melodic metal, they are generally very open to genres like blues and acoustic, plus pretty much any branch of rock music.
The Raw - Formed in september 2004 when 13 and continued to gig and have fun for over 3 years. Bubble gum pop purveyors The Raw feature excellent four-part harmonies, plenty of melody, lots of dynamic structure, and polish far beyond their young 16 year-old years.
Pass Effect
Pass Effect are group of like-minded 16-17 year olds who set out to play music different to what they were hearing locally. After 3 years, they have honed their songs to perfection and ready to unleash them onto the public.
Superfox - Rock band who deliver high-octane energetic rock shows- incorporated with an incredible passion for melody, a bedrock of good groove, and a keen ear for a pop hook. Their debut EP, “When I’m Dead”, went straight in at number 1 in the midland music stores, and quickly grabbed the interest of HMV and other major stores, not to mention several labels and management companies.
The show is Sunday 1st June 2008, 47-49 Abbey Street, Derby, DE22 3SJ. Entry is £3 - The show is for age 14+ and doors will open at 7.30PM.
