About Stylus Rex:
In the past 2 years the sonic disturbances created by Stylus Rex have found homes on myriad of cutting edge labels. His first release as Stylus Rex on JDS’s Punk Funk label marked him out as one to watch, a fact bourn out by last year’s Squelch Freak and Serious Wobble singles that gained him the support of Meat Katie, Stanton Warriors, Rennie Pilgrem, and Ali B. His latest single ‘Cops On Coke’ released through the fast emerging Ground Level label takes the Stylus Rex sound into electro/techier realms, moving through sections of tough throbbing bass into lush melodic textures and back. Strider, one of dance music’s most promising new talents throws in what can only be described as a filthy and fat retooling.
