"The festival will also incorporate white knuckle rides and Zorbed balls" Not it won't "a banter zone for those who are just up for laugh while graffiti artists and painters will entertain the creative individuals." No they won't "there will be a traditional hog roast, noodle bar, local ice creams and a selection of other eateries" Another slight typing error here, organisers meant to write "there will be two burger bars whose combined vegetarian range will be chips."

Although we were a little disappointed at their abscence the music was aceeeee and the tickets were really good value for money!

NickMullis Newbie Offline Points:29 Posts: 5	Reply to deadmanjones Overall rating: 5 The Scarlet Harlots Cancelled a couple of weeks before the event due to much needed recording time in the run up to the band getting signed, Hot Club De Paris was added as a replacement. This was emailed to all the facebook members and is why they were taken off all the lineups. the poster was changed everywhere but the website as I couldn't do it without messing up the whole site. We had alot of trouble with the council, police etc who ended up forcing us to reduce the size of the main area by nearly half, and they also disallowed us from having the fairground rides and Zorb balls one week before the event. The lack of space ruled out the banter tent as we couldn't reduce the size of any the music arenas. We were unable to put on the food ourselves because of the amount of time spent rectifying all the problems that were pointed out by the council etc. This is why we had to outsource it to the catering companies last minute. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy yourself but the vast majority of people did, It is very hard to put on an first year event especially with such a late start (due to licences) and when 90% of the time you do have is spent trying to stop it from getting shut down. We have learnt a lot this year which we will be able to take into next years and we hope you will give it another go so we can prove to you the full potential of cloud 9 given a good amount of time.

Overall rating: 4 Had a wicked time, and I think most people I attended with did aswell, I didnt hear a single comment like 'Oh no! where are the fair ground rides and pork!'. Was and is all about the music which was varied enough to keep anyone entertained, kudos to the purple dome and dub tent were truly awesome, and of course the silent disco a true head twister!

getspoonfaced Wannabe Offline Points:32 Posts: 2	Cloud 9 festival :) Overall rating: 4.5 As a first year festival this was awesome, a real party atmosphere, with a great variety of music that everybody seemed like they were loving. You always get things not turning up, so lighten up, the essentials were there, an awesome soundsystem, a great party crowd, enough selection of music and drinks, food could of been better and i am sure it will be next time. This festival has got the right ingredients for something special. Experience it yourself next year it will be just what the doctor ordered. Nice 1 organizers i am still on Cloud 9.

I thought the security were joking when they said the music stopped at 12... but no they were actually serious... Shocking... silent disco indeed!!! Cant take your own beer in, fair enough, but they were charging £3.33 for 1 can of WARM beer!!! You couldnt buy just the one... you had to buy enough vouchers for 3!!!
