Creative Garden Photography listings

This workshop will be of interest to those who want  to achieve artistry in their photography, and some practical use of Photoshop techniques.A digital SLR is essential.Bring a tripod and laptop if you have one.

The Chelsea Gold Medallist, Beth Chatto, has created inspirational gardens at her home near Colchester, in Essex. She says how she was inspired by paintings, and even architecture. Her gardens are punctuated with structural plants,curved forms,and textures that are a springboard of inspiration for the photographer.

This workshop is best suited for photographers of intermediate ability and beyond, and who are seeking to be stretched to think creatively. Come prepared to shoot from a different angle . Our Angles GB Photographer will be encouraging you to look for verticals, curves,repeated form, to look for the micro form of flowers and plants (stamens, petals, bark , leaves etc) as well as shooting from different heights and angles.

After a morning's shooting, time is spent  helping you to make a self critique and then choose only two or three your  very best images-images that could stand alone without being touched. Having saved these,you will be shown how to experiment with ways to enhance, alter and create a new "art work" using Photoshop.

Throughout, our Photographer will not only be on hand for one to one help, but also guiding you in the use of various techniques.
