Lineup and Details for Ellesmere Port Wilkinson on Thu 5th July 2012

The Wilkinson store on Marina Walk, Ellesmere Port, is set to unveil its brand new look on Thursday 5th July at 9am, when The Mayor of Ellesmere Port, Councillor Pat Merrick and Mayoress Lynn Clare, will officially open the rebranded store to the public.

To mark the official re-opening, The Mayor and Mayoress of Ellesmere Port will join a representative from Macmillan Cancer Support, Wilkinsons head of marketing, Fiona Gunn and store manager, Chris Kearns, in a ribbon cutting ceremony, which will start the days activities.

There will be plenty of activity taking place. The first 40 shoppers through the tills will receive a complimentary Wilko badminton set and the first 100 customers will be given a summer themed cupcake from a local bakery to enjoy, as they browse around the stores re-vamped layout.

Children from William Stockton Community Primary School will be attending the opening to deliver some summer themed posters to add even more colour to the re-vamped store, and customers will be entertained throughout the morning by the primary schools choir, who will be in store from 11:30am.

To raise money for the stores new charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support, which helps to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, a raffle will be hosted throughout the day and one lucky customer will win a six piece patio furniture set.

Talking about the store, Chris said: We are looking forward to welcoming the Mayor and Mayoress of Ellesmere Port to the store to help us celebrate the re-opening.

Not only will the Ellesmere Port store have a more modern layout, creating an all-round better shopping experience, it will also stock an extended range of great value seasonal and everyday products.

The celebrations will continue on Saturday 8th July, when the first 60 early morning shoppers will receive a complimentary Wilko sports ball and the first 95 children will receive a free Cadbury milk chocolate medal.

There will also be a free face painter in store transforming children into some fun characters from 10am until 4pm.
