Complete beginners welcome. Suitable for all ages and body types.

Classes are held in Merseyside and all run in high quality venues. They are both dance and fitness based. Groups are very friendly and are of varied ability.

All classes are for ten week s. Book a £5 taster to check that Ishtar's classes are for you. You can then pay the difference on week two.

All Belly dance courses are for ten weeks .

Bellydance classes focus on dance moves, combinations and choreography. Also taught are methods to work with props performance skills and tasters of other related forms of eastern dance.

Styles taught - Basic technique, Egyptian and Turkish cabaret /folkloric, flexibility and conditioning moves, drill combinations, khaligy ,Bollywood fusion, gothic. Cabaret and healing dance. toning exercise, choreography, trance dance, floor work, dancing with props (Zills, veil and canes, swords, fans.) Occasionally, there is meditation and visualisation.
