Consummate actor, writer and director, Simon Callow, celebrates the extraordinary talents of Charles Dickens in an informal presentation plotting the breadth and skill of his storytelling. Callow describes Dickens as both quintessentially English and also fundamentally anti-establishment, as well as inspiring generosity, endless inventiveness and anarchic energy.
Join Simon Callow for an informative and entertaining evening at the Bacon Theatre as he explores how Dickens work gives a terrific sense of the world as one big body, embracing all its grotesqueness and beauty and injecting humour along the way, like a comedy genius on a riff.
